UPS Announces 2010 Rates

Two highlights from the new pricing for 2010 UPS rates include: -UPS Ground service will increase 4.9%; -UPS Air and International Services will increase a net 4.9% through a combination of a 6.9% increase in the base rate and a 2% reduction in the Air and International Services fuel surcharge The new rates take effect on Jan. 4, 2010. Another Red Flags Extension

The Federal Trade Commission bumped the enforcement deadline of the Red Flags Rule from November 1, 2009 until June 1, 2010 at the request of Members of Congress. The Rule requires creditors to establish written, identity-theft-prevention programs that “are designed to detect the warning signs – or 'red flags' – of identity theft in their day-to-day operations," according to the FTC.
