I.C. System Gains Certification as a Women-owned Business Enterprise

St. Paul, MN (September 27, 2011) – I.C. System announced it has gained official certification as a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by The Supplier Clearinghouse. “I.C. System is pleased to announce that we have obtained this highly regarded certification which is recognized and valued by a number of our large clients and prospects,” said Barb Erickson, I.C. System's Chairman and CEO.

The Supplier Clearinghouse is a California Public Utilities Commission-supervised entity whose primary purpose is to audit and verify the status of WMBEs, and to establish and maintain a database of those vendors that is accessible to participating utilities. The Clearinghouse audit and verification program precludes the need for individual utilities to audit and verify WMBEs with whom they do business.

Supplier Clearinghouse Certified WBE companies must demonstrate with clear and convincing evidence that the women unconditionally own 51% of the applicant concern and are responsible for the day-to-day as well as major decisions on matters of management, policy, and operations.

“The addition of this certification to our myriad of existing qualifications such as SAS 70 Type II audit, an ISO 27002 assessment, PCI DSS Certification (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and Professional Practices Management System (PPMS) Certification further solidifies our stance as a unique and respected company in the collections industry,” said Mary Guthrie, Vice President and Executive Team Member at I.C. System.
